In the new, fast-paced, technological society in which we live, it is beneficial for teachers to understand and use this technology to their advantage. This blog is the process of my learning to do so.

Snipping Tool

Today we learned about a program in Windows Vista called the Snipping Tool.
It allows you to capture anything you want from the internet.

You can also capture screen shots from a video. The screen shot below is from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer, found on YouTube.

This fits NETS Standard 1b
1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
b. engage students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources.
The problem is the messy aspects of screen capture. I want to capture a part of the screen for a presentation, but I do not want to do a screen capture and edit it in paint.
